Code of Conduct for Junior Members

Chesterfield and District Athletics Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. The club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrator and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with the Club secretary (Frank Gorman) or the Club Welfare Officer (Richard Pentin).

As a junior member of Chesterfield and District AC you are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:

ˇYou must respect coaches, team managers, officials, volunteers and their decisions.

ˇYou must respect other athletes at all times and not engage in any discriminatory or abusive behaviour.

ˇYou should encourage the efforts of others.

ˇYou should ensure that you arrive for training and competitions on time, or inform your coach and/or team manager, if you are going to be late.

ˇYou must wear suitable kit for training and competitions, as agreed with your coach/team manager.

ˇYou must pay an annual membership fee and any other fees for training and competitions.

ˇYou are not allowed to smoke at club coaching sessions or whilst representing the club at competitions.

ˇYou are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind at club coaching or social events, or whilst representing the club.

ˇYou must report any unwelcome behaviour to your coach

ˇYou will take care of and respect all equipment used at coaching sessions and competitions.
